Diane Ladd, Known For Her Performance in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Dies at Age 89.

This Academy Award-nominated actor Diane Ladd has died at the age of 89.

This star, with credits featured National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, passed away at home in Ojai, California. Her passing was announced via an announcement by her child, award-winning actress Laura Dern.

Her daughter, who starred with Diane Ladd in various films including Wild at Heart, called her “my amazing hero plus my profound gift as a mother”, writing that she was at her bedside as she died.

“She was the greatest mother, daughter, grandmother, actress, artist as well as empathetic spirit that seemed almost dreamlike,” she stated. “We were blessed to have her. She is flying with her angels now.”

Early Career and Breakthrough
