Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who leaped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was set to appear on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film version of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, winning a pair for best costume and production design.
