The network's Top Fresh Series of 2025 Earns a Substantial Renewal for Seasons 2 and 3.

In October of last year, the late-night programming block debuted a new season of its unconventional hit, Smiling Friends. But, not long after, the network launched a fresh animated series with a strikingly different tone. Haha, You Clowns proved to be heartwarming and calm, evoking a cartoon version of a contemplative talk show. A Significant Investment

On December 18th, the network confirmed a big renewal: Haha, You Clowns has been picked up for two additional seasons. This gives showrunner Joe Cappa ample opportunity to develop the world of the Campbell family. The show follows three respectful teenage brothers whose central trait is their deep love for their single father, with Cappa voicing for all four key characters.

"I’m so grateful to the viewers of the show who gave *Haha, You Clowns* a chance and helped it grow," remarked Cappa. "It's thrilling that I get to spend more time in the Campbell household for seasons to come."

Executive Acclaim

In the same announcement praise from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who described the series as "radically heartfelt and strangely uncanny." He specifically highlighted the fans who found the show and championed its uniquely offbeat style.

"All of you supported this new show, rooted for it on social media, and grew it week over week so we could approve not one, but two more seasons," commented Ouweleen. "In the words: 'You are strong! You are loved!'"

A Wholesome Alternative

When it first aired, Haha, You Clowns was praised as "a wholesome alternative" to more cynical adult animated fare. There’s something surprisingly comfy about watching this endearing family go about their everyday routines.

Previously, creator Joe Cappa stated his hope to move the comedy genre beyond its prevailing layer of irony. He attributed this trend to a broader media landscape.

“We're stuck in a cycle of irony that we are trapped in,” explained Cappa. “It feels as if we have to know we’re the cleverest viewer in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for too long, and we need to laugh at something different now. It's time for comedy to grow.”

What Comes Next

Now, with Haha, You Clowns guaranteed to return, Cappa could potentially catalyze that comedic shift. Or at the very least, the renewal promises audiences more opportunities to enjoy the heartfelt moments of the unique Campbell clan.
